What to organize before a lender discussion

A lender conversation is easier to prepare for when the purpose, cash flow and repayment assumptions are clear.

Describe the purpose and approximate amount of financing being considered, and how the funds would be used.

Bring current information about business income, expenses, existing borrowing and repayment commitments. The lender will specify the documents it accepts.

Ask about interest calculation, fees, collateral, repayment schedule, conditions and what happens if the application is declined. An estimate is not a sanction or loan offer.
